Meeting Rooms: Wills Memorial Building, Queens Road, Bristol, BS8 1RJ
The Wills Memorial Building was designed by Sir George Oatley in 1912 in the Gothic Perpendicular style and open by King George V in June 1925. The building was a gift of Sir George A Wills and Mr Henry Herbert Wills as a memorial to their father, Henry Overton Wills, and is one of Bristol’s prominent landmarks. The tower is 215 foot high by 55 foot square. The bell is known as ‘Great George’ after the architect, King George V and George Wills.
